The idea for Bleu Kangaroo handbags started when I came back from a trip to Australia in 2001. Before I came back to New York I was given some beautiful fabric from a friend Down Under who, knowing my creative side, suggested I should make something with it as a reminder of the amazing time I had experienced there.

Once back home in New York I went to work and created my very own handbag with the fabric my friend had given me. It came out beautifully and the result inspired me to make some for my friends, so I ventured out into the city and found more unique fabrics and began designing and creating what I now call, Bleu Kangaroo handbags.
